
Community Engagement Coordinator
About Us: The Keizer Fire District is committed to serving the community of Keizer with excellence and professionalism. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator.
About the Position: The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing our organization’s visibility, reputation, and public engagement. This role focuses on creating effective communication strategies to promote the service-driven mission, goals, and services of the District to diverse audiences through social media, press releases, newsletters, and public events. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of an associate’s degree (a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred) and a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits
- 2025 Annual Salary Range (DOE): $58,159 to $82,500
- Flexible schedule of 40 hours per work week (arranged with the Fire Chief) between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, including occasional weekends and evenings
- Education Salary Incentive: $150 per month for an associate degree or $300 per month for a bachelor’s degree
- Matching Deferred Comp begins after 3 years of service
- Annual education allowance
- 90/10 split premiums of medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents
- Paid Family Medical Leave equivalent plan
- $3,000 annual Health Retirement Account (HRA VEBA) contribution
- $100,000 District-paid life insurance policy
- Oregon PERS retirement plan with the District paying the 6% employee contribution
- 22 days of vacation annually, increasing after every 5 years of service
- 21 days of sick leave annually
- Twelve scheduled holidays
