Serving You for Over 77 Years

The Keizer Fire District has been a cornerstone of community protection since our organization on May 4, 1948. What began as a dedicated group of 26 volunteers has evolved into a premier, full-service fire, rescue, and EMS agency. Today, we protect over 42,000 citizens from our centrally located fire station, powered by a professional crew of 52 career employees, 11 volunteer firefighters, and 12 explorer scouts, all governed by our five elected Board of Directors.

Our commitment to Keizer goes beyond the sirens. In 2024 alone, our crews responded to 7,096 emergency calls, while simultaneously working to prevent emergencies through public safety education, community outreach, and proactive safety inspections.

Our Mission

The District’s mission is to protect lives, property, and the environment through quality emergency response and community involvement. The mission will be achieved by career and volunteer professionals committed to excellence and dedicated to service in fire prevention, emergency medical services, fire suppression, hazardous materials and natural disaster response.
