A team of three Firefighters from the Keizer Fire District traveled to Seattle, Washington on Sunday, March 8, 2015 to participate in the 24^th Annual Scott Firefighter Stair Climb. The event is a fund raiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the largest individual firefighter competition in the world. The Keizer team joined 300 fire agencies and 1,711 other firefighters from as far away as Germany and New Zealand in this year’s competition.

Keizer Fire District firefighters are asking for your help in raising funds for the upcoming Seattle Firefighter Stair climb on March 8th, 2015. The climb is held at the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle. It benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a foundation that supports patients and families affected by blood cancers. The climb includes a race up 69 floors in full firefighting gear and is attended by teams from all over the world.

The Keizer Fire District held its annual Firefighter Reception on Monday, January 26, 2015. The ceremony introduced new recruits, swearing in of new Firefighters by State Fire Marshal Jim Walker and the presentation of the District’s service awards.

The first signs of the Season have appeared in Keizer! This morning, with a slight drizzle coming down Keizer Firefighters along with local community members placed the lights on the tree at Wallery Plaza.
